Privacy notice
Last updated 30 October 2026
This notice explains how Maids in a Minute uses personal information when you visit the website, request availability, book or receive a cleaning service.
Information we collect
- name, email address and phone number;
- cleaning address, postcode, home and access notes;
- chosen plan, appointment, add-ons and referral code;
- subscription, invoice and payment status supplied by Stripe;
- service records, customer communications and permitted completion photos;
- basic website security and technical logs.
Why we use it
We use booking and service information to perform our contract with you, take payment, schedule cleaners, provide the service and support your account. We use records for legitimate interests such as preventing fraud, handling complaints, improving operations and protecting the business. Where consent is the appropriate basis—for example optional marketing or certain photos—you can withdraw it.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes card and subscription payments; your full card details do not pass through this website. We may also share the minimum information needed with authorised cleaners and providers used for scheduling, communications, website hosting, accounting and customer support. We do not sell personal information.
Photos
Completion photos are optional and require permission. They should be limited to the agreed work and must not intentionally include people, personal documents, screens, keys or access codes.
How long we keep information
We keep active booking and service records while you are a customer. Financial and transaction records may be retained for up to six years after the relevant accounting period. Routine enquiries and operational photos are deleted sooner when they are no longer needed. Security logs are kept only for a limited period unless required to investigate an incident.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider’s lawful transfer safeguards and contractual protections.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
